The second chapter to the eighth chapter general pathology, content of tissue and cell damage and repair, blood circulation disorders, inflammation, water and electrolyte metabolism, acid-base balance disorders, cancer, shock etc.. The ninth chapter to the fourteenth chapter is the theory of Pathology, including the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system and endocrine system diseases, and infectious and parasitic diseases. At the same time, the new textbooks to appropriately increase the length, introduces some popular disease, in order to adapt to the different needs of professional teaching. The theory and the increase in each chapter a clinical pathological discussion, in order to increase the students' interest in learning of pathology. During the compilation of this book has been enthusiastic support and help the Zhejiang Medical College and other universities and Fudan University press, I extend my heartfelt thanks. In addition to the previous writers, and some young new strength to join book compiling team for their hard work, also be deeply grateful. In addition to Wang Jianzhong, Zhang Yiwen, Zhang Rui, Zhang Haie, Xu Ling, Ceng Wenjiao to provide written chapters corresponding courseware, the courseware is mainly from the Fudan University Shanghai School of Medicine Department of Pathology, physiology and pathology teaching database and slightly modified version of the. As the understanding of the teaching of higher vocational education is not enough, because the preparation time is hasty, coupled with our ability and service level is limited, the book is still exist many shortcomings, I sincerely hope that the use of units and the readers criticism. Chapter excerpt

Effects of tumor in sixth day clinical tumor characteristics, tumor and host of the body with the following factors: parts of the tumor volume and the occurrence of the tumor; invasion; functional activity of the tumor (such as hormone synthesis and secretion); the tumor complications (such as bleeding, ulcer, secondary infection); and there is no acute attack (such as rupture, perforation, obstruction, infarction); and there is no transfer; and whether it has caused cachexia; and whether the merger of paraneoplastic syndrome. (a) 1 oppression and blocking local influence either benign or malignant tumor, grows to a certain size, can be oppressive surrounding tissue or organ, or block certain organ pipes, cause the corresponding dysfunction. Such as gastrointestinal leiomyoma induced intestinal obstruction caused by intracranial pressure, intracranial benign tumor. 2 invasion of invasive growth characteristics and damage of malignant tumor, the organizational structure can be attacked and destroyed the normal organ, caused structural damage and functionDisorder. Such as liver cancer extensive liver cell damage leading to liver dysfunction, osteosarcoma disrupt normal bone lead to pathological fractures. Destroy 3 bleeding and infection in patients with malignant tumors often Gang tumor cell invasion or because of avascular necrosis and hemorrhage occurs, such as lung sputum with blood, hematuria, bladder cancer. Tumor tissue necrosis, hemorrhage secondary to infection. Bleeding and infection are also found in some benign tumors, such as nasal papilloma, adenoma of the colon. 4 pain of advanced malignant tumor invasion by tumor cells or nerve, can cause intractable pain, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, metastatic bone tumor. (two) of 1 patients with systemic effects of cachexia advanced malignant tumor often occurred, body weight loss, fatigue, severe anemia, progressive systemic failure state, called cachexia (cachexia). And may be related to the following factors: first, food intake reduced, various nutrient supply; ② tumor growth can lead to nutrient consumption increases, increased basal metabolic rate, muscle and fat consumption of large quantities of toxic products; the bleeding, infection, fever or tumor tissue necrosis produced by the metabolic disorder of the organism; the tumor invasion nerve, cause serious and not easy to relieve pain, seriously affected the daily life and sleep; structure damage and dysfunction and organ involvement; the tumor in patients with fear, pessimistic and depressed mood; a soluble cytokine in serum of patients with the malignant tumors (such as protein mobilization factor) can cause loss of appetite, metabolism, accelerate the decomposition of muscle and fat. 2 paraneoplastic syndrome due to tumor products (including ectopic hormones and other biologically active substances) or abnormal immune response (including cross immunity, autoimmunity and immune complex deposition) or other unknown reasons, can cause disease, nervous, endocrine, digestive, blood, kidney and skin, bone and joint system, and the clinical manifestations of corresponding. The direct cause of these manifestations are not the primary tumor or metastatic tumor, but with the tumor remission and alleviate the symptoms, but also with tumor recurrence and aggravation of symptoms, it is called paraneoplastic syndrome (paraneoplasticsyndrome). Understanding of paraneoplastic syndrome is significant in that it may be an early manifestation of occult tumor, thereby, early detection of cancer; secondly, do not mistakenly believe that these symptoms are caused by tumor metastasis, and give up the treatment of tumors. @##@
